Today's Word: John 3:16

The gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, the good news of our salvation, can be summed up in one verse: John 3:16. Today, Good Friday, let us pause all our work and forget all our earthly concerns by focusing on the Cross. It is where Jesus endured so much pain, betrayal and humiliation and ultimately gave up his life
to save us from our own sins.
Let us remember he did the great sacrifice to save us from eternal condemnation because of every wrong we've committed against people and against God and to give us eternal life. I hope all of us will realize the greatness of what Jesus did for us. We certainly didn't deserve it but that is how big God's love is for us!
Thank you, Lord!

Today's Word: Isaiah 53:5

It's Lent once again, the perfect time to pause and meditate on the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross to save us from our sins as His ultimate proof of love. In our church, we have School of the Cross on Good Friday, where our Pastor teaches the details of the events starting from the entry to Jerusalem to the time Jesus gave up His life. The teachings are an eye opener! I couldn't keep a dry eye as we all watched that part of the movie "The Passion of the Christ" where Jesus' flesh was being ripped off by the nail-tipped scourge. He writhed in pain only He could endure. And He did choose to endure all the physical pain. Why? So that He could bear all our sickness and pains!
As our Pastor said this, I found deeper meaning to Isaiah 53:5 and it bolstered my faith. Because I admit that even as a Christian, my faith would sometimes falter when I or a loved one is faced with a health challenge. But now that I have more understanding of what Christ's suffering was all about, the more I appreciate God's tremendous love and care for us, whom He calls His children.

This Good Friday, may we all reflect on the unfathomable, never-ending, steadfast love of Christ and what we must do to give back the best way we can not just to Him but also to other people
who Jesus asked us to love the way we do ourselves.
Have a blessed Holy Week!

Today's Word: Romans 5:8

How is your Good Friday evening? I hope you have reflected on the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross to redeem the sins of mankind - our sin - so that we may obtain forgiveness and everlasting life instead of death! He did no sin, but out of Jesus' great love for us, He bore our sins and gave up His life to pay the penalty of our own wrongdoings. Do you understand with your heart the unfathomable love of God? Jesus died for you! Would you thank Him and accept Him in your heart in return? He longs to have a relationship with you. Accept Jesus and Lord and Savior today and repent of all your sinful ways. Whatever your sins are, God is ready
and willing to accept you and love you even more.
Have a blessed Good Friday.
