Today's Word: Hebrews 11:1

Do you believe in something you do not see? For instance, if you feel pain, do you believe you have been healed? If your husband has left you for another woman and has just said he is not coming back to you, do you still believe your marriage will be restored? If bills are piling up and your company shut down leaving you jobless, do you still believe for a financial breakthrough? We ought to! That is what the Holy Bible says in Hebrews 11:1. In the New Living Translation, it says, "Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see."  If we are praying to God to do something for us, we must believe not only that He can (of course He can, He made the entire universe!) but that He will! There is one beautiful song that we sing in church with this line: "..because You're my Father, You will!" What a beautiful feeling it is to have the confidence that God will do something we ask of Him  because He is our loving Father in heaven who wants the best for His children. So, whatever it is that we need (make sure though it is something that is part of God's will in our lives), let us be bold in asking it from God, believing that we will receive our
blessing in His perfect time. The Lord might want us to wait awhile to teach us patience and test our faith, but surely, the wait will be worth it. The Lord bless you today.

Today's Word: Job 36:11

Prosperity. What a beautiful and reassuring promise of God to those who obey and serve Him. Some people think that God dislikes the rich but this is a misconception. Just take a look at some of God's people in the Old Testament who were richly blessed by the Lord - Abraham, David, Solomon and Job. They all prospered by the grace of God. It is greed that God hates, not prosperity. The Lord, in truth, wants to prosper us so that we may be able to help others, especially the poor. God, however, doesn't want us to get rich in an instant. Instead, he wants hard, diligent labor and then He blesses the work of our hands. The Lord bless you today.

Today's Word: Psalm 9:9

All of us have had feelings or an experience of oppression at some points in our lives. For us adults working in the corporate world, we may often feel weighed down by unjust company policies that cause low morale and extreme anxiety. At times like these, there is One whom we can turn to for comfort and deliverance - our loving God and Heavenly Father, who cares for us and who wants to be included in every aspect of our lives. Let us trust in Him to give us wisdom and help in times of trouble. Just this year, I felt oppressed, too, and was under a great deal of stress. I didn't know how to get out of such an oppressive situation and I cried out to the Lord. Praise to Him as He gave me wisdom and taught me what to do. God told me that instead of fighting back, I should learn how to win someone's favor through hard work. And it did make my situation better. In the end, God Himself solved my problem! What liberty from trouble did I experience! The Lord is really an amazing, all-knowing God. The Heavenly Father knows best when it comes to solving problems. Let us give Him our complete trust.
God bless you today.
