Today's Word: Psalm 111:5

We often pray to God to ask for healing, protection, a job, and help in many situations but sometimes, we tend to forget to ask for His provisions, thinking what we eat is too trivial for the Lord to be concerned about. But we must not forget that it is also God who puts food on our table. I remember the story of the prophet Elijah in the book of 1 Kings. The king's wife wanted to kill him, so he escaped by running into the wilderness. There, exhausted after wandering and walking the whole day, he laid down to sleep but was awakened by an angel sent by God, telling him to eat. Near his head, Elijah found bread (it was cake in other Bible versions) and a jar of water. He ate a little then went back to sleep but the angel awakened him again and told him to eat some more so that he would have the strength to continue his journey. I so loved this story! Just like a loving parent, God loves
us so much and cares enough to provide what He knows we all need.
Let us ask God today to provide our daily needs and not forget
to thank Him for all His blessings.
God bless you.

Today's Word: Psalm 37:25

It's June! For most of us, our children have started their classes. Understandably, many parents are anxious about the expenses - tuition, school supplies, books, uniforms - the list may seem to go on and on! But before we go hurry over to someone to borrow money, let us be with our Lord God in prayer and lift to Him all our needs because He provides! Don't think He is not concerned with our financial needs because He is! He is, in fact, concerned with all the details of our lives. If us parents want to give our children everything that they need, how much more is our heavenly Father! He wants to give us life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Nothing is impossible to God
who owns the earth and everything in it (Psalm 24:1).
He is more than capable of providing for us.
God bless you today.

Today's Word: Job 36:11

Prosperity. What a beautiful and reassuring promise of God to those who obey and serve Him. Some people think that God dislikes the rich but this is a misconception. Just take a look at some of God's people in the Old Testament who were richly blessed by the Lord - Abraham, David, Solomon and Job. They all prospered by the grace of God. It is greed that God hates, not prosperity. The Lord, in truth, wants to prosper us so that we may be able to help others, especially the poor. God, however, doesn't want us to get rich in an instant. Instead, he wants hard, diligent labor and then He blesses the work of our hands. The Lord bless you today.
